Yo,
Everytime I try to watch a film I get a little message saying "General Info: Not enough memory please try closing some applications"..
..this is annoying because as far as I can see I have no applications open, i.e there's no little revolving blue arrow anwhere that represents a program still being open..
..Is there a program that shows open applications using RAM and can close them for you?
As far as I can see this should sove it because I have 100mb of internal space left and 500mb of my 2gb card free.
I look forward to any hero that can help,
J
what firmware are you running, the latest v20 for the n95-1 significantly increases the available memory
there is a few programs the best being handy task man in my opinion. as said above if you have not updated to v.20 firmware that will probably be the cause of your problem
The firmware isn't updated like, It's not a Vanilla handset, it's an Orange Uk handset, will this hinder me when trying to update? And will this solve the problem?

Use Nemesis (NSS) to change the product code (EURO-1 Sand is better than Plum, whatever colour your housing) and then PC Suite to update the firmware.
Total piece of cake - there's plenty of guides.
Yep, you need to de-brand it mate, to get rid of all that negative Orange karma all over your phone. Plenty of guides (I think as stickies at the top of this forum)
Once updated to V20 you will never look back. Happy days!

What difference does it make? :con?

Better BT and RF reception on mine.
debrand that phone, then upgrade the firmware, and your phone will not have this problem. also, the phone will run a million times faster and better. camera will be super fast. more memory. ad infinitum or something.

For real? Is there really a difference in the BT and RF power output between different housing colours? Anyone else notice this?
nope. there isnt, its a case / colour varient it seems. Cant find any information to back up any claims.

Thought it sounded a bit tenuous.
sounds good, I just have one more question..
..Does de-brading the phone invalidate my warranty or phone insurance I have with a 3rd party company?

possibly/probably/definitely (read the Sticky on the subject). Chances are you won't get found out but if whilst reflashing you stuff it all up, the supplier might have legitmate reason not to pay your claim......
cheers matey, I think i'll ring orange and see if there is an Orange UK update/fix, try and keep them on my side, ha..
Thanks for all the feedback guys!

warrenty with your phone provider, but I dont know why it would invalidate a nokia warrenty with nokia firmware??
