No longer showing up as supported in Windows Media player

My N95 seems to have stopped wanting to work with Media sync. I can plug it into my PC and it detects as ok on media player mode and it offers me the option of synchronising with WMP, but when I open the app up itself it wont show up in the device list.

I've tried hitting refresh devices but with no luck. Rebooted both devices and tried different ports and still nothing.

Anyone know if there's maybe a way to clear the device list then start again?

Hi,

I connected my N81-8gb in media player mode and then i clicked on Sync option in WMP, it started syncing without any issues....

st3ph3n, you might have an application open on your phone that is accessing the memory card. If that is the case, close that application and try again.

you might have an application open on your phone and check the settings on sync profile too

Interesting thought. I rebooted the phone a few times with no luck. It pops up when I connect it that it's recognised the device as a media sync device. I get the wee black icon in the tray. It then offers me the Windows XP popup that asks what you want to do with when you insert something like a USB drive or a CD, and one of the options is synchronise with windows media player. I choose that and it loads WMP but then the device doesn't show up in there.

I'll try it again tonight as reinstalled WMP but haven't had a chance to try it since then. I'll also make sure to close every app on my phone.
