Solution to album art problem in v20

I'm sure that all of y'all noticed that album art is no longer saved in v20 n95's. Well, while I was experimenting with the Nokia Music Manager I noticed that, if you drag the album art cover in the album art section of the music manager under "My Collection" it should work. Then just copy the music over to the N95 and it should work! You won't have to have a copy of the album art anymore in the gallery! Enjoy!😉

P.S. Even though the song may have album art already from iTunes or something like that you have to drag the album art again....

Good tip, though I use WMP cos I find the Nokia thing really unintuitive and I don't see the point in installing another music library/player when I am already using one

Well, I've just discovered this problem after adding IRO 720 tracks and adding the album art the way I used to on my N73. On the N73, once you had added the art, you simply deleted the images from the gallery and the thumbnails stayed for the music. But not on the N95, so it seems.

So, am I right in assuming that if I want album art on the stuff I have put on today, I need to delete it from the phone, then copy it again, over to my collections, add the art and then re-transfer to the phone ??

I do hope not, but I'm not holding my breath 😡:frown:🙄:icon13:

Just to add, I have just tried the afore mentioned method and the album art never came across !!

So not even that appears to work 😡

The way i've done it is with a tag editor like 'Zortam' (google it). You can add "Front" cover art and it will show up on the N95. The full version will also scan your collection and do it automatically.

What I do is use ID3 Tag-It, which is another tagging program. Its really easy to add album covers to multiple mp3 files with it. When I apply album covers to songs, I embed the image in each file rather than have them refer to a seperate .jpg file or anything like that. That way, wherever I move them, the album cover stays with them.

Development and support for the program has stopped now, but I find it invaluable. You can find it here:

Well, it would appear that in the recent update to Nokia Music Manager, they fixed the problem with embedding the album art into tracks. I just tried 3 or 4 albums and it worked a treat.

However, that still leaves me over 2500 songs that I'd like to get art on that I can't because the traditional method of doing it on the phone doesn't work 😞
