Conversation, Gizmo - both updated!

5 replies · 1,921 views · Started 29 January 2008

Amidst the flurry of Location Tracker activity at Nokia Beta Labs, it seems Conversation (SMS threading) and Gizmo (free VoIP and chat) both received attention. Conversation has been relaunched (fixes, plus a separate E90 version, no less) and the Nseries-only Gizmo has seen bug fixes and support for multiple locations.

Read on in the full article.

Unfortunately, Conversation for E90 has not been updated. The one posted there is an old version, that was only compatible with the previous software version of the Communicator. Unfortunately, it does not work vor V 07.40.1.2

Ah thanks. I wish the download page made that clearer. And I couldn't test it as my E90 is not in the country at the moment.... 8-(

I'll amend the news text!

It works on my e90, install the "S60 3rd Editon Feature Pack 1"

Only change so far that I see (besides the bugs):
when you have one of your contacts selected in the conversation, you can press the green button and it will place a call to that person. It didn't do that before.

Strange, I have Conversation running on my E90 - the app is version 0.40(275) and the .sis is named conversation_0_E_3rd_fp1.SIS.

I have not detected any SMS issues, but I do not send many SMS'es..

Regards
Michael

Basically when I install the NOkia Contacts Services update, my contacts stop working. Click on the right soft key for the contacts yields nothing. The contacts never display.

Clicking menu and selecting the contacts icon, yields the same result.

After installing the Conversations app, it just runs and then exits.

Anyone seen the same thing?
