Hi all,

Just got the n95 8gb phone on o2
hopefully someone can help me im having a blind moment. When i finish talking on the phone i wish to close the slider and have that end the call. How do i do this? 😊

is it worth debranding it? it seems fast enough for now and the latest firmware didnt seem to add much i need. Any issues with removing the o2 info? 😊

Thanks in advance
nice forum it helped me choose the phone

sorry to say but there is no way of sliding to disconnect calls. i dont no why it has annoyed me aswell. as for the firmware question im not sure how the 8gb performs afterwards but someone on here will soon post an answer to that question

Well - this is a feature in the upcoming FlipSilent 1.04. Not really sure what it has to do with silencing calls with a flip, but still - should satisfy a lot of N95 owners desires!

Loving the look of his 'Shake SMS' software too!

Samirs flipsilent now does this, as does another one (or is it shutup? I may have got them confused).

Either way, google them and you will find it.

However I beleive they are both currently only obtainable by donating, as its still in beta stage.

If you're happy with the phone then I'd probably leave it - if it aint broke and all that...

If you do decide to debrand you can get all the O2 network settings from the nokia website here http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4222200

blimey u lot are answer ninja's!

i will have to have a look at some of the software

Thanks dudes 😊

as i have ur attention anyway of making the digital clock in standbye brighter to check the time quickly? perhaps pressing a button or something?

I'm actually and honestly happy that the call is not hung up when you slide the phone closed. If I ever actually dial a number I immediately slide the phone closed before putting it to my ear so the phone isn't as long against my face.

I would think that if you had the phone disconnect the call when sliding it closed then you'd also have it ending applications when sliding it closed as well and that wouldn't be good in my opinion.

That's just my two cents on the whole matter.

yeah, Im the same... prefer the smaller form

ShakeSMS seems more of a gimic for N95 users as you just slide... can see it working better on candybars.

Agreed. I would still get it... but like I say, more likely to slide than shake! 😉

I can confirm that flipsilent beta 4 does have option to set slider when closed to disconnect call and it works perfectly so far. Also has over options that now when phone flipped it doesnt change profile it just mutes call , which is far better I think and snoozes or stops alarm

also 1.4 allows to answer call and turns on speakerphone when open the media slider...

a shut up killer app.

If the keypad's not locked, you can press any key to illuminate the screen. When the pad's locked, press the left softkey or the power button to illuminate the screen.
