After a nice REFORMATING today because the SYSTEM ERROR created by the nice Wild Skinz App... :-?
I discovered something interesting about the Contacts and the memory used for them...
I use LOTUS 123 to Sync my Contacts between PC and 7650...
and i can Manage the TASK for the sync in contacts... so there i puted
an option to sync the Home fields only (Phone, E-Mail, Mobile, Home Address) ...
The discovery is about the memory... if all contacts have the same number of fields (empty and used ones) with same labels... the Memory Compression for Contacts is much better... after this discovery my contacts was using about 250 to 300 kb (without thumbnails) ... now with the new sync with same fields for all contacts are using 43kb. 😮 (without thumbs)... this is amazing! 😃
Now i have the same 95 contacts with 43kb. 😮 ! not 350kb....
The number of fields also affect the compression, more fields more memory... but if you have many contacts with a few fields plus some contacts with few fields but different ones, this will use very much memory than many contacts with many equals fields...
So... try to sync all contacts with same number and kind of fields, no matter if you don't use some of them for some contacts data.
you can really save memory in this way... 😃
