Google tweaks UK mobile search offering

Google recently launched a revamped version of its mobile search for select markets. The is available in the UK, USA, France, Germany and Canada. The new system offers blended results and has a stronger location based element. Blended results mix in local and news search results with web search results. In practise this means that Google shows the result type that it thinks is most relevant (depending on the keyword) first. Read on for more and screenshot examples.

I have set my location to "Oulu,Finland" and works like a charm. Actually I even set my location to my home address and got lots of businesses listed from the actual nearest. Maybe worth to try even if you live in another country then the "selected markets" mentioned.
