Format the internal 8GB drive to get rid of cr@p and reflash the firmware in that order and DON'T reinstall an old backup. It's the only way to find out if it's hard- or software issues. I bet it will work fine after that.
hi how do i go about doin the format of the 8gb drive?thanks

Mass Memory > Options > Format mass memory
does it just go to the white nokia screen for about 10 to 20 seconds and then just go back to stand by? If so, I think it does that to clear the cache. Mine does it especially after i've used the browser and viewed alot of pages or after I've ran alot of various applications.
It's probably so the N95 can free up some RAM.
I'm not 100% certain though.
if u have messed with the priority settings on any App , it causes the phone to reboot after playing it for a minute or 2.
u need to reset them back to there default priority settings.
Thats all i did and this problem was solved
it could be somthing else though, but somtimes the emulators are pain to use and cause all sorts of problems
I never messed with any app or it's priority settings. And I still get this occasionally.

i used to get it when just pulling out the ear phones on the N95 8gb
it all started when i installed Emulators,
when i uninstalled them it stopped happening
i am now using the Vsun again but have not messed with settings as much ,its not happend so far
very strange, I don't use emulators or anything of the sort. The only thing I really use my phone for now is watching movies at work and most of them are around 700megs.
there could be many different causes why they keep restarting,
but strobez happen to install a emulator few days back so i'm thinking it could be same problem what was causing mine to reboot
Yeah you are probably right. Everyone should take notice how a phone acts before and after installing every application. So if something like this just starts to occur (what seems to be) out of the blue, you'll know what the last application installed is. Then all you have to do is remove it and see if the issue is resolved.
Or you could do what seems to be my new found failsafe method (reflected by how much I've been saying it in these forums lately), and just reinstal via NSU.
