Whats the best IMessenger to use ?

I have IM+ but not reinstalled since deleting everything and setting my phone back to factory conditions.
I'm just wondering is there a better one i should buy or is there a good freeware 1.
Or is what i already have good enough for what these type things do any way?

guess it depends what you need out of it... I use Fring without probs... and its a bit of a pain MSNLIve is a pay for one... (eventually)

Slick, that's what I use with my Yahoo and I have no complaints.

no doubt Slick is the best. its free. and it looks and functions the best for strictly sending IM's. not sure about file transfers though...
