Getting Datasuite for 7650 to work with bluetooth

Is there a way to make the Nokia datsuite work with an EIO wavelinker [USB] bluetooth dongle [www.ivmm.com]. The Bluetooth s/w to phone works fine and I have used an old laptop to get the infrared to work with the phone and datasuite. A mail back from this company say that d/suite is not compatable with their s/w.

I have looked through the posts and have not managed to find anything helps apart from comments saying bt does not work with d/suite. I know that the registry had to be tweaked to get d/suite v2.0 working on infrared.

I will assume if there is no fix that a USB infrared for the pc may be the answer [though not what I want 😉 ] - can you help ?

Try the widcomm drivers instead of the BlueManager that is shipped with the dongle. I'm using the Tecom version 1.2.2.16 very happily with my EIO Wavelinker dongle and PC Suite on winXP.

There are links to the tecom drivers posted in the forum. Have a search.

Andy.

My laptop EIO Wavelinker Bluetooth Dongle works fine with my NOKIA N-gage GPRS, but now when trying installing PC SUITE, I can not get the PC and NOKIA to communicate. I need to have bluetooth connection between the two. It seems all COM ports 3-6 are reserved. I called Nokia and they told me to connect the SERIAL PORT (com3 in my case) to the phone. I have tried but no success. Have you simple instructions to solve this? Appreciate any assistance.
