N-gage released

the Ngage as become available on N81/N81 8GB.
i've read alot of posts on other forums where people are installing it on the N95 8GB,however i don't think its wise as it's not the final release and as a massive page of known bugs what was released with it by nokia.
This version is a test version released to get feed back for unknown bugs from N81 users.
And there must be a reason why Nokia don't want N95/8GB users installing it so i'm going to wait.

Feed back on the games as been very good with some people saying they are amazing and others saying they are as good if not better than ps1 games like to hear of some1 who as installed it and listen to there opinion

i cant see it doing any harm atall. i reckon the reason is they wanted to test it and the n81 users are newer than n95 so give them something to be exited about

Runs fine on my N95-1....

Been waiting for what seems forever for Nokia to release the N-Gage app and now they have, I am underwhelmed.

I didn't install it from the official first access v1.00 installer that is available as a download from the N-Gage site. There is a modified .sisx that doesnt care what hardware you are running. Google is your friend.

It runs exactly the same as it would on an N81. It even let me sign in using the account name I pre-registered ages ago.

The trial games just aint doing it for me though...

Block Breaker Deluxe is just breakout/arkanoid and the trial last for about a min before you get a nag screen to buy the game.

Creatures Of The Deep is just pointless... press the middle button to cast, press the middle button to reel in, zero skill.

System Rush Evolution is tedious once you look past the fancy 3d accelerated graphics

Space Impact Kappa Base is the best out of the bunch (I am an old skool arcade junkie so a vertical scroller is going to do it for me!) but way to easy!

If they want this to suceed then they should have allowed Demo's with decent game play not just a free 60sec.
After all how late it was there should of been some sort of free game to start people rolling as ty

EDIT:How much are the games going to cost?

And are they worth it ?

Having never managed to cut it as a "gamer", getting bored way too quick, I wasn't holding out much for n-gage but I have to say my first impressions are kinda favourable.

I like the networked idea of gaming on a mobile which is with me all the time. Granted I cant really see me doing any more than playing chess against some random person but thats cool by me.

I can see how First Access (is it me or is that a bit too Star Trek?!) will underwhelm gameheads looking forward to ditching their psp for their mobile but I'm guessing that for the millions upon millions of "normal" phone users who just want a bit of a distraction on the bus or train it will go down quite well.

Me? I think I'll still get bored to quick to make any real use of it 😞

to be honest im not really a fan off it so far. its early days but just dont think its for me
