Hi guys im back with MORE frustration than ever 😞
i recently added folders with songs in them. each folder represents a playlist i want to make. I made 5 .m3u playlists in windows media player and saved them to the Playlist folder in the memory stick.
When i stick the mem stick in the n95, all the songs are found. HOWEVER, IT DOES IT DETECT THE PLAYLISTS I PUT IN!! AND IT DOESNT HAVE AN OPTION TO ADD A WHOLE FOLDER AS A PLAYLIST!
SO WHAT DO I DO?
how do i get it to detect the playlists? please god somebody help me.

in media player on your phone you highlight a song and then goto "options> add to playlist" you can save to a new playlist or a recently saved one (create a playlist first).
yesss i know this but the whole point is that i want to put premade playlists onto the phone because if i go one by one it will take me like 2 days to make a play list! each playlist has about 300 songs so clicking each song would take forever.
is there a way to import premade playlists (.m3u) and get the media player to detect them?? thanks!
yeah, the folder on your memory card called playlists is the correct spot. Maybe WMP uses a different format.?? no idea.
oh alright...i duno why the hell its doing this. do you know another way? how do u put the files on do u use winamp or something?
Nah, i just transfer them over via usb to my mem card.

I imagine that the Playlists folder (either on the memory card or the phone's memory) should contain the playlists. However I've got a playlist I made on the phone simply called "songs" which contains all my songs without all the mp3 ringtones and message alerts that the music player picks up. When I look in the playlist folders they're completely empty.

Sorry tried to help you out here but seems it has to be initiated on the phone.
hooked up the phone via usb under mass storage device.
Highlighting all tunes i want a folder at a time to put in my playlist.
Using winamp encueing to winamp, (right click mouse while highlighted)
it list all the songs.
Once all i want are encued/listed in winamp.
Create playlist.
Pop the .m3u into playlist folder on n95.
clicked on the playlist while phone still connected to comp and it listed all and played through winamp.
It didnt detect it through the playlist on the phone only the one i created a while back using the phone.
Hopefully not confusing.
