This is soon to be released, and is basically an updated version of the current software/os the phone runs, it brings a range of improvements, which can be found out by using google.
However, its seems unlikely if not impossible that Nokia will be supplying this new operating system to existing customers with phones that will benefit from the update (n95).
Petition time!? Can anyone shed anymore light on this situation?

I very much doubt it will come to any previous phones as an update, theres no reason too.
AFAIK, its never been done, and probably never will be. Its one of the incentives to buy a new phone, and I agree with nokia.
