go to gallery >streaming links>options>new link )then choose your save option then put in( NAME> BBC News 24 then put in
(web address >

or If you have realplayer on pc copy and paste the link in pc web browser
it'll open in realplayer
then send link via email to phone from pc realplayer
it'll look blury on pc but its good on phone
the last O is O for Orange
i know its just a news channel but if you can find links where the stream quality is below 256k they should work test it out
it might even beable to play higher quality now csince firmware updates using wlan connection
works on any phone where u can add streaming links and make sure the streaming setting is enabled and connection is defined in real player settings

plz let me know if any 1 as got it working

nope... not working on mine... but then I dont think Ive ever got steaming working on realplayer on it.

Just comes back with 'Loading......

but doesnt load owt... till it times out.

Same here. I have streaming Radio 1, 6 music and Five Live ok but TV ones say 'unable to load' even though the address is formed in the same way as the radio ones.

open the real player

go to options>settings>streaming>network>
in there u should have

DEAFAULT ACCESS POINT
choose connection u wish to use for streaming

ONLINE TIME
unlimited

LOWEST UDP PORT
6970

HIGHEST UDP PORT
32000

make sure u have all the settings correct

i always use a wlan access point when streaming things i've added manualy

i just tried streaming this link using my networks internet connection i got not enough bandwith
but it works when switched back to wlan
it depends how strong your networks connection is if it works using the providers internet

Ok, I tried over wifi and it worked fine. Weird cos I have full 3.5G signal here so that should be fast enough

i'm in a dip with trees around so i only get normal internet here unless i go to top of street for 3.5g

but i did get it working when i was on bus using 3g few weeks back

Yeah, I got the settings, and everything else is as it should be... it just never loaded for me and Ive never really looked into it any more as Im not that bothered.

and just so you know guys, if you try a link and it doesnt open, the server may not be online at that time for that channel.

Also, you can navigate to allaboutsymbian on your phone and come to this thread and click on the links to activate and open them on your phone.

I've found those BBC streams extremely touch-and-go. On the whole I've had more success on the mobile network rather than WiFi/adsl at home. I actually wonder if the BBC use some doesn't-quite-work technology to ensure that only people in the UK (ie licence payers) get to view their content.

BBC have 2 realplayer streams, a high quality one and the 1 i posted
the high quality stream does not work on phone

i know you can open the stream by going to bbc website and saving link but i was trying to show people how to add them manualy

Just tried the BBC News 24 feed and it works on my WLan. However the frame rate is terrible and it's still very blurry on the phone. Nice find though.

No Look East is the original. It was the first to broadcast and covers all the 'cat up a tree' stories from this region.

i cant get that list of streaming links to work. not tried them all but tried the Nasa one and the tunisia one and they dont load.

I note they begin Http shouldnt they begin RSTP or something?

Several of the "channels" have worked for me on my WLAN and will be interesting to keep an eye on them all over the next few weeks to "suss" out the ones I want to "keep" thanks waxup for the list :icon14:
