I recently changed my E61i product code from UK (English/Nederlands) to EURO (English/French/Spanish) in order to allow Nokia Software Updater to change my firmware accordingly.
But after upgrade, my phone's backup (from memory card /Backup/ folder) can't be restored (probably due to incompatibility between firmware). I loose my contacts !! 😮
"Backup.arc" files are proprietary Nokia file format, and there's no way to open it... I read some posts concerning an experimental "Backup.arc" extractor, but it failed to extract my Contacts.cdb...
Moreover, due to Nokia Privacy Policy, they can't help !
Of course, no way to downgrade the firmware back to UK...
I'm searching someone owning a E61i UK, and able to restore my Backup.arc on its own phone (after doing a backup of its own!), export contacts using Nokia PC suite, and send it back to me...
That's will really help ! I can even donate some bucks... :help:
