Hello, I have a N95 8GB and just upgraded my firmware to the most recent Version.
I had to first change the phones code over to the North American version from the Malaysian version I had. No issues with that but I notice now I cannot access my online bank account within Opera Mobile. I could before, now it just closes the app when I get ready to type in my username/password. I checked all my setting etc. Weird. I searched the net seeing if this was just part of the upgrade and a new security measure. Any ASSistance is appreciated.
I do like that I can now watch Youtube vids w/out using another 3rd party app. 😊
I take it NOBODY knows....
Dunno, man. I've got a question for you though, I've got the same phone as you with the Malaysian product code... In some applications, such as "PyNetMony", the font isn't being displayed properly, it spits out a bunch of squares instead. Just wondering if you think changing my product code like you did might fix that?
Portland, OR is my location:
Yeah, I switched over to the North American Code after a quick Google search. Then I was able to load the newest Firmware.
Several things though, I have more weird things with the North American code than before with the Malaysian version. The Gallery wasn't working for example and had to re start phone to get it to work. Something about a KERN EXE fail. Not sure. All I know is I cant even go to my bank's site without it freaking out and closing opera down completely. I even Hard booted my phone and Reformatted the Edrive. I had to know. No changes... The phone still kicks rear coming from the Win Mo Kaiser and Pocket PC's. Grabbing the phone from my pocket and shooting Hi-Res pics and uploading the my Spaces Live account is awesome!!😊

Your problem is likely because your phone does have the proper language pack installed. Changing the product code could fix that, but its not guaranteed.
