Hey... I've got a major problem, and I really hope someone can help me.
My N95 screen has jst died on me. The phone itself works fine, so long as you know who you're calling, or exactly what commands you're carrying out.
My problem is 1st, obviously the screen is dead, but 2nd, how am I going to be able to back anything up!!! I've tried to use pc suite, but just cant as it sys my phone isn't connected, no matter how many different button presses I try one the usb is connected.
Has anyone got any idea's, or do I just need to lose all the stuff in my calendar etc, and take it to the shop?
Thanks in advance, any help would be great.
New screen : 40 quid, 5 minutes to change ... piece of cake.

Hi,
Yeah, it boots fine. Its under warranty, do you think I should take it back to Orange, or just bite the bullett, and pay the cash to get it sorted. Is it likel to be anything else do you think??
EDIT - - - Actually, scratch that, the phone now seems to have crashed, when I tried to call from my land line, the Nokia tune came on instead of my usual tone and I couldnlt send a text ( from memory I think I knew what I was doing!!)
Guess it's time to go to the Orange store eh!!??!!
it's best to go to orange....
yup, send it back, although you might be better going to a nokia care centre, because they may be able to fix it there... rather than send it off for 6 months!
The backing up could be a problem as nokia serice cetneres are known for factory resetting the phone even if the problem isnt factory related.
Can you not just use the TV-Out to see the screen?

Orange Insurance replace the phone under 24 hours, not fix it.
Can't speak for normal Orange warranty though, don't know what they do.
How about using the cable to connect to a TV so you actually have a screen to look at while you back up. Might be your phone is defaulting to another USB connection.
Output through the screen you can see what is happening with the phone. Could even sort out a back up to a memory card?
Thanks
