I have an E61 phone. It's a delight, great job from Nokia. Still, there is a sight problem with the wifi. I;m sure it;s just me not knowing waht settings to make.
Ok....so it sees my wlan network from home. I set it up as an access point, that goes fine. I open the browser, connect through the wlan connection, it just idles. No kb's recieved. Than, after some minutes it sais web something expired. Ok. I intalled some other wifi/wlan programmes. They find the netwotk, connect also. I tried a different browser (opera), still nothing recieved.
My Wlan network has no passwerd/key protection, it;s an open network.
Maybe some settings are wrong, maybe i'm just a moron, please, from experience, help me solve this. I reallu need Wlan, bascally that's why I bought the phone...

Thanks!

I called Nokia about this. The tech says it is the router you are trying to link with. Mine is a Linksys WRT54G version 5. Some other web searches indicate it may be all Linksys routers. Nothing on the Linksys pages that help. Nothing I could find in the router setter settings seem to be something you could change that would help the problem. You might try to contact your router manufacturer for help. Netgear may not have the same problem. It's a shame, since I have been very happy with router up to now.

You can try to disable WLAN power save feature. I think it can cause problems with some routers.
