anyone no how to get movies to play with full screen and not have the black bars on top and below? does it have to do with the movie file or the media player your using? i have a few movies in .avi using divx player and they all play with the black bars and i tried converting one to mp4 and using it on realplayer but it does the same thing.

Just convert them using PocketDivxEncoder. You can set the size to make it fullscreen.
Or, using Super, set the screen size to 320x240, the ratio to 4:3 and then crop the picture by 70 pixels on each side.
This will give you a more or less full screen picture without distorting the picture (assuming you are converting a widescreen AVI to begin with).

I used to use this app when I had my windows mobile and it was great as it allowed you to visually crop the picture. Does a new version of this now convert to mp4? Or are you playing AVIs on the N95 using a 3rd party player? 😊
I'm just shrinking the avis (700mb to ~ 200mb),cropping them a bit and increase the volume. And then I play them on the phone using Smartmovie player or Coreplayer.
