Available memory

Can anyone advice me on the amount of available memory please? After startup, running only Roadsync and Media player (plus native applications in the phone), I do have only approx. 7MB of memory available for other applications. Seems to be little low, sometimes around 6MB system is actually saying that something was not completed because of low memory available. Swiss manager reclaim memory is working, but does not give me more than around 7MB. Is that normal? Thanks
