Hello

Just got my P800 upgraded to R1D.
Finally got norwegian language on it + english.

So now the firmware looks like this:

Phone: R1D
Bluetooth: R2C
Calender: R1F01
CDA: R1B02

Hi kah96,
is the language the only upgrade or are also other functions concerned??
Please explain further.
Regards
hegisin

I don't know if this is the only thing.

But I read at another forum that the sound bug was fixed too.
Something about bad (distorted) sound.

But as soon as I get to talk to the upgrade center I will let you know.

Where in norway did u get it upgraded?
Do u know if all the service centers got the update. I sure hope so!!
And is the phone any good in Norwegian or is it lame..

Tenker da p drlige oversettelser osv.

I know that Mobilcom on Hvik just outside Oslo has the upgrade.
And EMTS in Oslo should have it too.

I'm not sure about them but, Mobilcom has.

And it costs you money!!!
350 Nkr or something for the upgrade.

What!!!! That's what I always liked about SE, the free upgrades. Bad thing SE (or that shop pulled your leg  )

Firmware upgradesshould be included in the warranty during the first year...

They told me it costed money to do THIS upgrade.
But maybe the next upgrade is free?

My phone was delivered with swedish and english text.
I wanted it to have norwegian and english.

So that's why i upgraded it.

Just delivered my phone to upgrade in stavanger EMTS has it and its free, actually i payed 100kr but thats just so i can get it back within 1 hour. Else i would have to wait till monday.

I think just about every service center should have the upgrade as it sounded to me as they download the update somwhere. At leas they said they had downloaded the nevest firmware.

What about the F version, I though this was the latest firmware.. (Fixed the audio filter).

I checked with EMTS today, and they said they had the F firmware, and I could upgrade free for one year.

As I understand the user documentation, we shall be able to download the language when SonyEricsson makes it official on the "net".

There is a little program in the "package" that gives us the possibillity to download language to the P800, both from the harddisk or directly from internet.

What is this talking about having to change Firmware in a authorized SE support senter, to change language? I want to change the language fra Swedish to Norwegian.

Kind regards
Terry. :-?

Can anyone tell me where can i find the language pack for P800?
and where to download the Firmware ?????please

How can I see what version of the firmware that I have??? I want to have the latest one!! 8)

I think it's better to wait for the new firmware that will add UIQ 2.1, sms delivery report and so on. If rumors are true, you will be able to download and update the firmware yourself.

In order to see your firmaware goto the Application window (after opening your flip) and choose from the menu VIEW -->>SYSTEM INFORMATION if you then click on the arrow you can see the details of all SW & Firmware.

😃 for my phone bought recently it was the same version as yours (upgraded) for Phone, Bluetooth and Organiser, except that for CDA,

CDA : R1F04

Anyone newer versions?

😃

My ORGANIZER is R1G05. Upgraded last March 3 here in the Philippines.

@ Chang: Don't think your CDA is R1F though. Still R1B02.

Language packs (some of them) are availble in the companion CD.
If not there, only with a sw upgrade to a SE SC.
Very soon all of them will be available on the web.
In Greece we have the following version releases:

PDA R1G
PHONE R1D
BT R2C
CDA R2A04
