Hi all,
I am getting desperate here. I want to use my P990i in our University's WiFi network. Unfortunately, access is provided only with VPN via PPTP.
Is there ANY way to create a regular VPN connection to this phone? Here are my specific questions:
1. Does anyone have knowledge about a commercial VPN client for P990i that supports PPTP?
2. Why is the 'VPN accounts' setting present in the phone when it cannot be used?
3. What's the use of Certicom VPN client if some institution does not use hardware VPN appliances like the ones supported?
4. Supposing that I want to create my own Linux VPN/IPsec server, is there any server package that could work? I suppose poptop is out of the question, what about OpenSwan?
Thanks

I dont think there is, could you please point to where it is if so, I have been looking for one for a long time.
Thats a lot of links to nowhere. Just people saying theres nothing out, or something might soon be out.
And one comment from one guy saying he has a beta working, but doesnt name who its from or any other information.
Sorry, but I just dont beleive theres one out there.

You made my day! and saved me boat loads of cash, IF this app works properly on my E71. Now all my blocked VoIP services will start working.
Will report back on its performance later...
