Are Nokia having a larf?

Ho..ho. Just looked at the price of 3 year licence with Nokia maps and it's 90!!!!!

Are they taking the pi*s. Three months ago it was 50 so nearly doubled in price. I know they spent a few billion on Navteq but come on 2x the price?

For a few pounds more you can buy a dedicated GPS unit so why bother with Nokia Maps. Do they think we're stupid?

Not only that, there are symbian versions of some of the best sat nav's for around 60/70 so where the hell has Nokia 's pricing plan come from. Are they crudely trying to recoup their outlay on Navteq? If so, count me out.

😡

Its a bit dificult comparing it to conventional satnav, as once subscribed you get freemap updates, which with other satnavs you have to pay for.

However, I do agree that its far too much. Especially considering the extras you have to pay for, traffic and city guides. Garmin for example, offers traffic data for free.

If I was a very occasional sav nav user, Id use maps where I can buy a day, or week. But as I use it often, Id prefer using something like Garmin or Navigon due to cost.
