Help - Sportstracker cant install!

3 replies · 2,666 views · Started 20 February 2008

hey guys... for some reason i cant install the updated sports tracker(1.70). i keep getting an error saying "Update Error". Im using latest v20 firmware, and i used to have the first version of sports tracker(from download!) and later updated it to 1.63 without hassles. but a few weeks later that version kept giving a "general error" and i've no idea what's causing it. a removal and reinstalling does not fix this. and 1.70 cant even install..

anyone have this problem? any idea how to fix it? thanks in advance!

Do you have also Activity Monitor installed on your N95?
If so: un-install it, then install SportsTracker . . .

In the latest SportsTracker, Activity Monitor is implemented . . . :icon14:

I had the 'general error' problem, but not the installing problem.

To fix it I removed the sportstracker folder from the memory card and then it recreated it when I ran the app and it worked fine. Hope this helps.

If you have anything in there you want to keep, move the folder to your PC, or just rename it instead of deleting it.

thanks for the advice - it finally works now. yeah i uninstalled app monitor and it sportstracker finally installed fine. then the general error kept coming up, so i tried deleting both my activity monitor and my sportstracker folder in my memory card(had a backup in my pc already).. and that did the job!

thanks again mate.. really appreciate your prompt reply 😊 now i can finally track my runs again! :icon14:
