Nokia's gaming department have published a 12 minute video press conference where they answer questions from the N-Gage community. Instead of the usual hype they actually give fairly direct answers, and there's a lot of interesting stuff here. Click on this news item to see the full conference.

Interesting-ish, but shame nothing about which handsets NGage will be released on. IMHO the most important ones are the most mass market handsets, and that means 6120 Classic, and going forward, the recently announced 6220 Classic. These are the devices that will give NGage the biggest userbase of all, and it will be crazy if Nokia doesn't support them, as technically they are more than capable.

I don't think it's entirely their decision as the actual phones are made by different parts of Nokia. The three people in the video are only in charge of the games and the gaming platform, not the hardware.

Nokia have said that N-Gage will be on non-Nseries devices as well as Nseries ones, it's in the official N-Gage site's FAQ, they just haven't said exactly which non-Nseries models are covered.

I do totally agree though that they should extend N-Gage to cover the most mainstream S60 models like the 6120 and 6220, and I bet that by the end of 2008 N-Gage will be a standard feature of all their new S60 models the same way Nokia Maps is.

Agree, with "ajck"... To have a solid game base, it´s not with N958G and 800€ price, against the more capable game device like Nintendo DSL, with 150€ price.🙄
