Do you have 'Conversation' installed? This seems to eat memory like nobody's business.

No i havent got conversation installed
If you've only got 18MB of free storage on your phone that's pretty full. I've got loads of apps installed on the phone and still got 92MB free. My guess is that some media files, like photos, music, or podcasts, have got onto your phone storage rather than the 8GB mass storage. I've noticed a feature/bug on my N95-1 whereby if you connect to a PC in mass storage mode, the system decides that since it can't used the card/mass storage during this time, it will alter all my settings to put, in my case, all my podcasts into phone storage. That tends to start generating 'out of memory' errors very quickly. I think you need to go into file manager to look at storage on the C: drive to check there are no media files, then check all your podcast, music, camera settings to make sure things are being put onto the 8GB mass storage and not the phone.
Yeh deleted some staff and now left with 74mb on my internal memory and still facing the same problem should i keep deleting more staff on the internal memory or its something else?
Mmmm... I'm out of ideas, then, I'm afraid. Personally I would have thought 74MB free would be enough.
Yeh thats what think as well ,well please guys do me a favour those of you who have the n958gb please just check for me how much internal phone memory you have cause as i have said i have 74mb but i keep getting the messege 'memory full' ,every time am trying to access the help feature on any of the apps i have and even when i try and access help on the phone,s own features like messeging, profiles everything i receive the above error message. Please let me know so that if its a problem on the phone it will have a 1st class stamp flying to 3,s derport thanx

Thanx for sharing with me now have 84mb and its stil saying memory full well i gues all have to remove the apps i Put in the internal memory and i guess for me it throwes the suggestion of puting apps on the internal memory out of the window hey
It's a bug in v15 firmware!
Don't worry... There have been reports the "help" function will give out of memory messages. Do a google search if you want. It only happens when a certain number of 3rd party apps are installed but no one has diagnosed what app or how many apps causes this. You won't get out of memory messages anywhere else. It has nothing to do with the internal storage (c drive). RAM is completely different. Programs are loaded from storage to RAM when executed and you have plenty of that.
Anyway there is not fix until Nokia does something about it.
Same on v20 of the standard N95 . . .😡
I've been getting this recently. 60mb free on N95-1 memory... Just figured it out - it's Flip silent.
I've just got the "Memory Full" problem on all the <Help> facilities on my N95(93.03) V11.0.0.026) I have plenty available phone memory. Don't have flip-silent, but loads of other installed apps.
Is the <Help> problem related to specific application (corrupt help entry ?) or just the number of applications.
Mate i have exactly the same problem on my n958gb but on firmware v15 and i .have about 85mb or ram but it appeares its only a few of us experiencing this problem i dont know whether to uninstal all my apps which would take the whole day well i think all just wait for new firmware update and check after
I guess I can live without the help files, but they are useful for new apps and for a quick reminder on older ones.
For interest: if you go to: Menu > Tools > Utilities > Help
... what do you have listed as the 'last help file' (quicker to scroll up from the 1st page)
I have an odd looking file listed after "ZipManager" & before "3-D ringing tones". The name is listed as 4 x boxes - possibly non display characters <?>
I have searched my phone (using Y-browser) all the drives for all files *.h* to list all the help files, along with htm and others, but i can't see this odd file.
I have read on other forums that the problem is due to the number of apps and size available for help files. If so, it may be possible to remove help file for some apps <?> (This is an area I am not familiar with)
Well although the uninstallation of flip silent solved my problem at first, it returned a few days later. I'm inclined to agree that it could be the total size of the help files. I have this 4 box file as well. Unfortunatly the file that I suspect now is integrated into the firmware - Nokia Maps v.2. The help file is enormous- bigger than all the rest together. Does anybody have the older version of this program and still has this bug?
I can't find that dodgy named file/folder, anyone know any good way to find a file with 'hidden characters' in the name ?
I've upgraded to Nokia Maps V2 too. I assume that the helps files are the "smart2go" files, if so there are lots. It would be good to hear is anyone with the old Nokia Maps has any problems with their <Help>
I had this problem on my N82. I would try to use the Help app and I would get the out of memory error even though I had plenty of memory, no apps running. I figured out it was being caused by the Google Search app. I uninstall it, no issue. I install it, issue comes back. Hope this helps you out.

Sadly 😞 this made no difference for me.
I suspect it is something to to with the number of applications (helpfiles) installed on the phone, and that uninstalling/installing the Google Search app on you phone was taking it below/above the phone working limit.
This problem is a real pain, and Nokia should have fixed it by now. It is still apparent in the latest firmware for the N95(8GB)
