Exert from the GLQuake thread, as I was struggling to get enough free RAM to run the new version

Well it wasn't all that "super sleuthing" to find out the problem. The big memory hog was Shozu, coming in at a wopping 4MB just to have it installed! Not even running (well, obviously something is running), just sitting there waiting for it to be called to do something. Second offender was SkyQuickey, nicking a sizeable 1MB, though that's hardly fair, as I knew it was running. So I now have 26MB on reboot (plus whatever is released when DeviceStatus is quit), enough for GLQuake, and I'm happy.
Now, I like Shozu and have used it a lot for its ability to send pictures to multiple destinations, be they email addresses, Flickr, ftp or whatever, but 4MB when not even being called upon. Seems way OTT. Time to rethink its use me thinks.....
according to Radio1 news social bloggin is dead...
or something like that...
so Shozu is a waste of space 😉

It was certainly a waste of my space. To be fair, I didn't use it for social blogging. It was a great way to send pics to multiple destinations with one upload. Still, with unlimited data, guess that shouldn't worry me. I'll just a hve to type in all the names and addresses now rather than pick them from a drop down list.
or email them to contacts you've made with the upload email addy?
yup, it's a pig. I removed.
You may also wanna check out Licence installed by Nokia Maps and others, and don't forget Psilocs DRM either. Both are running 24/7 and especially the former eats memory for breakfast 😊

But can you bin it and still use Maps (obviously not the navigation etc)?
Maps starts without the License thing installed. Don't know if the key is stored somewhere safe, or it will need License to actually start navigating. Trial and error, I guess. If it doesn't work just reinstall. If it does, you've just earned yourself a couple of megs free RAM and some cpu cycles 😊

What is the license thingy to look out for?
@ the OP : Are you running v20 firmware ?
