I feel really silly even posting this, but I have to ask because it's driving me crazy. I have a new N95 8GB and am trying to remove the battery to get to the code so I can upgrade my firmware, but I just can't get the battery out! I don't want to force it and break something. How exactly is it supposed to be removed? Thanks for your help!
Removing battery?!
well i dont know the 'actual' way to get it out, but how ive always got my battery out on my N95 is just to take the back cover off.. hold the phone in my right hand and face the battery to my left hand and just making a clapping motion.
the battery should just pop right out.
hope this made sence

I had this problem too the other day, bent my nail back trying to hook it back😮
A key worked for me!!
Tis a tight fit thats for sure but worth it for the extra capacity:tongue:
Instructions 😮
Remove battery cover.
With your left hand, lay your palm flat facing upwards. Place the phone onto this hand and grip the sides of the phone. i.e. display facing your palm and the battery facing the sky.
Use your right hand as a "net" over the battery. Now turn everything 180 degrees with both your hands so the battery falls into the "net". If the battery doesn't naturally fall into your hand by gravity then just give it a little shake.
Alternatively, just tell us what network you are on and I'm sure someone can let you know what your product code is. A simple search on Google should give you the answer anyway.
I've got two genuine Nokia batteries - and both fall out on opening.
Maybe a 'manufacturing quirk' - but if all else fails, a blowtorch and crowbar should fix it. 😃
