Sat-Nav that mutes the Music player when giving directions..?

Hi all,

After paying for a full copy of Route66, I notice that it does not mute the phone itself, when giving voice directions...

Basically I ride a motorcycle and have an in-helmet audio system.
I can very rarely find the precious few seconds I need to look down at the screen for directions, so rely on audio only.

The Nokia music player mutes when I recieve an incoming phonecall, which is great, however, route66 does not mute anything...

Before I go and splash out a load more cash on another app, does anyone know (or would mind testing) an app that does this already? I don't mind using an external GPS

Thanks in advance

Thanks Phoenix, I think it's safe to say I'll be picking a copy up now. I much prefer TomTom...

Are Bluetooth GPS systems much improved now? Last time I had TomTom Mobile 5 (I think) on my N70 with the TomTom branded GPS reciever... It would work excellently, but crash at random (once an hour?)

Thanks again for your help

Andy

Yes, TomTom 5.2 crashes my 6680 all the time.
But TT6 has yet to crash my N95 and looks brilliant with the higher res bigscreen.
Get a little SirfStar III receiver (brilliant in urban canyons) and you won't want for more.

Someone was telling me that TomTom now have a buddy system, wherein you can track your mates onscreen.
Pretty cool, I'd hazard.

Hey don't waste your money just yet. to answer your question. Garmin mobilex is what you need it works seamlessly on my N95. . It will mute if remember well it will do a voice over quite clearly.
