I can't get the Google box on my idle page. I know I have to go to google mobile web site but for the life of me can't find the download link to install the shortcut to google search.
Step by step would be very much appreciated, at the moment I only get the following options for the first 5, - Search, Maps, Maps Download, Gmail, Gmail download etc. i.e no Search Download.

You might want to try chnaging your country as the download is only available in some markets. I think there's a link on the google page that lets you do this.
You also need to be using on the Nokia Web browser.
You are on the right page, but the download link for Search is not showing up for some reason.
