I want to unbrand my phone just to make it that little bit quicker. Is there a guide Im not seeing or a method to do this right please? also, is it worth it?

Unbranding is a good move if your Phone is hampered by old and restrictive firmware. There are many guides to doing it .. check out the Sticky (blue) threads at the top of the N95 forum page.

Good Luck!😊

I'm interested to know if the contract will still go ahead as normal, but also what things i will loose from unbranding? (currently branded to 3.)

How do I go about it?

Sorrry for bein a noob

The instant benefits include removing all the crappy themes and icons which use up ram unnecessarily. It also gives you back all the apps that might have been disabled by the network provider (such as VOIP).

The main reason though, is that when unbranded you can install the latest firmware as soon as its released. Nokia release the 'vanilla' firmware to the Nokia Software Updater straight away but that version has to be customised by the networks for their versions and that can take from a few weeks to a few months!

Bennett, Its seems 3 users have the most to loose thru re-branding... (if you consider it losing) followed by users with the spiderman movie.

Check out the search option and have a read about rebranding on 3 etc.
