Help upgrading N73 Firmware

I'm having trouble upgrading the firmware of my N73.

I have a black N73 from Orange UK, but the firmware dosen't seem to be ME:

*#0000# reveals:

V 2.0628.0.0.3
27-07-2006
RM-133
Nokia N73 (30.02)

Product Code: 0541149 (got using NSS)

As I said, it's black, even has the music key, but all the music key does is goto shortcuts.

Anyway, I have tried changing the product code to 0539343 following the tutorial on this website http://thenokiablog.com/2006/11/28/how-to-update-original-nokia-n73-firmware-to-music-edition/
but when I try and upgrade the firmware, Nokia Software Update does not detect my phone!

PC Suite finds my phone fine, NSS finds my phone fine, but NSU cannot see it, the loading bar just goes on for ages and then it tells me it couldnt find it blah blah

As I said, NSS works fine and so does Nokia PC Suite when it comes to finding my phone. I even tried changing the product code back to the original, but it still didn't work...

Can anyone help me out?

Also there seem to be alot of product codes out there (saw the sticky) which one should I be using?

Originally, the N73ME's were black, but a while ago, they released the regular N73 with a black case, which would explain your handset.

If you are in the UK, and you want the latest ME version of the firmware, you need product code 0537289. Change it to that using NSS and then try NSU again. You should then be offered the latest ME FW (V 4.0736.3.2.1).

If NSU is still not seeing your phone, try uninstalling PC Suite & NSU and then re-installing.

HTH 😊
