E90 SMS problem

Hey guys. posting after quite some time here

My friend is using an E90. He just took a flight from UAE to Australia and just before the flight as usual he turned his phone off and turned it back on when he landed. He did not change a SIM card or do anything.

To his horror, when he turns the phone on, all the SMS in the inbox are gone. i mean just not there anymore, he is using the same SIM card in the UAE (he is on roaming) but around 400 of his SMS and MMS are gone. Has anyone got any idea what must have happened?

I'm not a guru at all, but this looks like a "slow memory" effect.

I experienced similar problems with my previous memory card (messaging setup storing messages in the memory card instead of main memory). With a faster new memory card the issue seems to be solved.

By the way, 400 messages seem to be a lot.
