I am now on my third battery cover since may last year. I have only opened the back and changed the battery about 6 times and the catch has broken off yet again. Is this an on going problem or a weakness in design. Is it the same with the N95 8gb?
At least they are only around �3.00 out here in Jordan but a pain having to go to the Nokia service centre
It's a flaw in the design of the N95, the 8 gigabyte model has much better tabs, significantly harder to break. I've had my N95 for about the same amount of time, have never broken the latches though. I am super careful with it however.
It might help to cut and fold a piece of paper covering a gap by the right side of the battery so it wont stress the back cover so much.
