I don't ask for warez just a link to download STANDARD EDITION OF MICROSOFT VISUAL VERSION 6.0 OR ABOVE.

I don't think this is available for download... You need to buy the CD(s).

I believe the book "C++ How to program -revision 4-" by Deitel has a version free with it. However, the book is around �40.

I might be completely wrong, but afaik MS isn't selling VC++ 6.0 (nor VStudio 6.0) any more in an attempt to push VS.net, not even through MSDN. Should be tough to get a legal copy.
