Hello all,
Since a few weeks, I don't know really if it's since the V15 update, when I use my N95 8GB with the USB transfer mode the phone restarts every 60 seconds.
When I connect it, the phone crashes after 1 minutes, it reloads, i choose once again USB transfer mode and the phone reboots every 60 seconds.
I have tried on Windows XP SP2 and on a LINUX and I have the same problem.
Can you please tell me if i am alone ?
Thanks
Hi all,
so no one has got the same issue ?
i want to reset my phone to see if it can help, can you please tell me the difference between SOFT and HARD reset ? I want to know what i will loose with soft reset.
I want to format once again the mass memory, do you know if it's better to format it in the nokia or directly on Windows and which type of FAT (FAT 16 ou FAT 32) ??
thank you
put simply, a hard reset will wipe your data and reset, whereas a soft reset will just reset and leave your data in tact.
Nice to see you got the title right this time! 😉
Thank you,
can you give the codes to use *# for hard and soft ?
i've read about this kinda of problem with people who have changed there fonts
they cant access folders in mass storage mode/data transfer mode
so if you changed fonts that would be reason otherwise do a reset like what as already been stated
if you have changed fonts do a search how to delete and go back to default
I'm getting exactly the same with v20 firmware (3UK) on the N95 8Gb
And very frustrating it is too.
I've removed a few apps but now have the choice of a total reformat, or removing more.
This is not good. WHat I really want is the "crash dump" which clarifies what was at fault..........
And yes 60s is about it.
either
a) It's a rogue app not properly shut down trying to access a resource on the mass memory
-> going to install y-tasks, processes etc to try to spot
b) It's a symbian core thing -- great
So where can I find "lsof" or equiv I wonder...
