i just updated my phone last night to the latest firmware and what made me pleased the most was it sorted out the problems between the phone and my intergrated Bluetooth kit in my 2007 Ford Focus, nokia tried to blame ford even though its their module in the car! amazing how it works now after the update my car must have been fixed wirelessly by ford lol 😉
anyway i have noticed that after this update when you move the slider to expose the media keys and turn the phone into a media player it doesnt automatically bring up the multimedia menu, great i thought! as the phone is in my pocket a lot it goes off whenever it gets slid down now it wont happen.
more worringley is that the media keys dont light up anymore! not when you move the slider or when you press them or open any program that uses them, its pretty annoying actually and they were working before the update, anyone had similar problems?
I think there's a sticky about restoring from backup after flash.
Do the multimedia buttons light up if you cover the light sensor with your finger/thumb and press a few buttons?
Are you in a dark place to make the lights come in in the first place??
Try sticking your finger over the light sensor.
hi guys thanks for the replies, i was trying this in the dark last night so alas that doesnt seem to make a difference. and even in the daylight covering the sensor makes no difference.
im not sure what resoring from backup has to do with it though phoenix:con?
restoring from backup tends to cock things up sometimes...
ahh i see, bummer!😃 ill give that a try when i have some free time, ill try restoring from backup without the settings and see what that does?
or would it be worth reloading the firmware and then doing a restore without settings?:icon14:

Not necessary.
Press *#7370# to hard reset.
Or if possible, when off, press power-star-green-3 simultaneously for a few seconds and you'll get the 'Formatting' progress bar.
could someone kindly remind me what the hard reset or the green key sequence does?
its worth IMHO keeping the apps you want and reinstalling..
so essentially, starting from scratch and syncing your contacts etc.
Sometimes though, thats not a viable option
thats not a problem ill reinstall the firmware and start again just need to pick a good evening to do that in, other than that not found any other problems, gallery sure seems to scroll a lot smoother and quicker😊
