Hi,

im on 02 uk and have mobile internet on my e90

when connecting i only get 480.6kbps in 3g and 3.5g areas

after looking around some say its a firmware issue

does any1 else have this issue ?

and is there a way round it to connect at at least 1.8mbps

thanks

Have you another HSDPA device to test with?

I was getting fairly bad speeds, although today I'm hitting about 1.1 meg using bt dun through a pc.

I get the feeling that the heady days of me getting 1.6meg (as I did through my TyTn) are long gone, as so many people now have phones with 3.5g capability. Perhaps soon the Networks will make a few upgrades to ensure we hit the speeds we should be.

As far as I know O2 have one of the worst HSDPA setups. They were also slow to catch onto 3g, at least in the UK, so I can't imagine their speeds are going to be among the best anyway.

The best way to test would be run a speed test using a tethered 3.5 connection to a laptop with, say an MDA Ameo and an E90 consecutively on a site such as auditmypc.com and see if there is a substansial difference. I will give it a test with my TyTn in the same conditions as my E90 tomorrow and see what comes up.
