Hi everyone,
Just bought my P1i yesterday. Right now I can't even synchronize a single contact/calendar/note/task from my Windows XP SP2 PC that is using Microsoft Outlook 2003. I have tried the following:
- disabled Windows Firewall
- try to only sync contacts alone
- re-installed PC Suite for Smart Phones v1.3.19
- even re-formatted my PC!!
But the dam error still appears whenever I try to sync. 😡 I have attached the image below. Hope someone can help me out.

Many sympathies. A couple of simple questions.
1. Are you using a USB cable or bluetooth? IMHO the cale is far preferable if you can.
2. Have you got the latest version of SE's software from their website? If not, get it.
Try calling SOny Ericsson's support line and make it their problem. Get them to help you.
FWIW my P1i sync'ed using the cable on XP SP2 with Otlook 2003 first time, no problems. So, at least you know that it can be done. All I did was to nstall the software from SE's site and away it went.

Hey I managed to solve the problem!
I flashed my phone with the latest firmware once more and after the phone booted up, I noticed that the phone asks me to select either UK English or Chinese. So I selected UK English.
Then I re-installed PC Suite for Smartphones v1.3.33 and selected UK English (I chose US English before that). After that, synchronization works!!! WTH!!! Anyway I'm a happy man now. Thanks for your reply!
