I have brought a Euro modle because I could not wait any longer and listen to SE UK's next month, next month krap.
Anyway in the UK when setting up GPRS you have a APN which through vodafone who I am with is wap.vodafone...... this only gives access to wap sites to get WWW access you enter "internet" in the APN field.
I have my P800 working on GPRS and WAP sites but can not get it working on WWW and email, also in the P800 when editing the GPRS setup I dont even see a APN field.
Any help thoughts would be great thanks
Shouldn't you unlock it with your operator ? It's usually not a free service.
I know with Bouygue, in France, once I unlocked GPRS, the phone configured itself alone.
You need to ring Vodafone and get them to activate the Internet APN on your account then you need the following settings (As used on a 7650, get my P800 on Monday but should still work)
Data Bearer: GPRS
Access Point Name: internet
Username: Web
Prompt Pass: No
Password: Web
Authentication: Normal
Gateway IP: 0.0.0.0
Phone IP adress: Dynamic
Primary Server Name: 0.0.0.0
Second Server Name: 0.0.0.0
This should work fine, if not give Vodafone a call (I hope your not with Singlepoint 😃 ), and they should be able to help you, or try their webshite. 😉
