Video formats on N95 8 gig?

Hi,
I am slightly stumped with something.
I have a few files that I ripped off youtube and saved them as avis.
I installed Divx but it says that it is unable to open as a codec is missing (MP42) or something like that.
Is there an app that will play most video formats on my N95 8gig?

I tried to install Nokia Video Manager and when the app finds the phone it says that it is not supported?
Any ideas?

Lastly I have heard of Coreplayer but not sure if its any good or if its free.
If it is free can anyone tell me where to get it from?

I apologise if these questions are silly but like I say its got me stumped!

Regards,
Al

coreplayer is not free,unfortunately.
And, .avi is not divx. divx is just encapsulated in an avi container.

My suggestion is to get the program called 'super' (google for it and it's the first result and the url is erightsoftware.com or something)

convert your .avi file to .mp4

you can search the forums for the format options to use with super for best results.
