Unknown application uses network

Hello,

Every so often I get a message asking me to choose a WLAN network. If I choose my network, then it asks me for the WPA key. If I give it, the message disappears.

If I don't give it, then a GPRS/UMTS session is initiated and some 100k of traffic happen.

It might be some application calling home; I highly doubt it's the OS because: a. it already knows the WPA key (that's how it uses the VoIP, browser, mail etc.) and b. it doesn't say who it is.

The message box has no title, there's no way for me to identify the application that is doing this unrequested traffic without my approval.

I would never allow an application to use the network without my explicit approval (even if this were possible), and no visible applications are running. So it must be a hidden app.

Ytasks shows me two nameless hidden apps; all the others seem legit (although I'm not 100% positive).

Could anyone tell me how can I identify the culprit?

Thank you.

Turn on logging in your router or firewall and whatc the destination address of the traffic, that could give you a clue...
