How do I do this? I've got films in Avi format on my hard drive that I would like to wtch on my phone (whilst at work) & being a IT novice I'm not sure how. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Select ( when connecting with your cable) mass storage...
This will open an explorer window that is your 8 GB..
There U can create a new folder or drop the avi in the video folder....

If U can't enter the mass storage, U have an app or text-message running on the mass memory. So make sure that nothing is running in the background and that U use the phone memory 4 messages 4 a short time...

Use a good app 4 the movies...

Good luck

have a search on here for video converting.

the N95 doesn't support AVI files though. Unless your using a 3rd party software like CorePlayer or Divx Mobile.

Real Video 8 9 10, h.263 (3gp), h.264 / AVC (mp4)

A simple and free way is to use Nokia Video Manager which can be downloaded from Nokia website. It automatically converts to the correct format to play. If it doesn't play on your PC then you don't have the correct codec(s). If it does then it will simply convert and copy to your "videos" folder of your mass memory.
