Can someone please advise?
My Orange phone currently has version V11.0.026 and before I update this to the latest version, do I need to store all my address book contacts and setting first and if so,how do I do that?
Thanks very much.

contacts -> options -> mark all.

contacts -> options -> copy to memory card.

you can backup your settings using pc suite i think, but i never do this, only my contacts onto my memory card. (and any other random images/videos i have saved to my phones memory)

oh, and remember to remove your memory card before you debrand and update firmware.

Try this simple method.

Go to memory card > Options > Back up phone memory
and when you're done with the update go back to the memory card > Options > Restore phone memory

It works!

and use the PC suite as an extra backup (those memory cards are small and you might loose it 😉)

BTW down load the lastest version of PC suite as the restore on my version did'nt work allways hung at 13% downloaded the lastest one and Hey-Presto!

If you are going to use backup/restore don't include your settings.
Better to sync with PC Suite and then resync after your update.
Starting with fresh settings and installing all apps to mem card will keep the phone stable and maintain it's operating integrity.
