T-mobile transparent proxy bypass on N95 8GB

Apologies if this has already been answered.

After some time on the phone with T-Mobile they acknowledged that they use transparent proxies to dynamically resize images accessed via Web'n'Walk (example: normal ; via t-mobile ). And that there was no way to switch it off...

Very annoying.

Anyway, does anyone know if there's a way to implement this kind of workaround in the S60 browser on the N95 8GB? Or run a proxy on the phone which will modify the headers for every application?

Thanks.

well i dont know if this applies to your carrier. but here in the US i use ATT which has their proxy, and it resizes images and makes the quality lower too. so i edit my access point, and remove the 2 proxy settings, which gives the true internet without their proxy. now i dont know if you can do that with tmobile, but its worth a try. just dont delete your proxy access point. duplicate it, and edit the dup and use that one to see if it works.

Thanks, RogerPodacter - however this solution won't work in my case as there are no active proxy settings on the phone. The T-Mobile proxy is entirely transparent, so the only way to disable the proxy is to modify the HTTP request headers (as detailed in the workaround I linked to).

So I wondered if there was a way to tell the browser to always send this header as part of each request.

Thanks for your reply.
