MAME PROBLEM HELP!!!!!

Not sure I understand you, but you just install emame which will make a ROM folder under documents in internal and external memory.

You then place the .zip file of the ROM in the ROM folder, no need to de compress it.

When you run Emame select Game, then Scan for installed games, and a list will come up of what you have.

You must have the only the game ROMS from the game list that work with this version of Emame, a lot still dont work.

There has been disscussion before and users have given a list of ROMS that are tried and tested.

Good luck.

Just one more tip is there are many ROMS for the same or slightly different game and this version seems quite specific, make sure your ROM matches the ROM list rather than the game list

I everything like you described it GAZCART but unfortunately when i try to run a rom EG pacman.zip but after cliking on it it goes to a white screen and says error librariy files missing click any button to continue, i can see from the mame screen all the roms install but all of them do that, any idea?
tried uninstalling mame and reinstalling it ,no luck.

A zip file for MAME contains many rom files e.g. MS Pacman (mspacman.zip) has the following files in the .zip:

5e
5f
82s123.7f
82s126.1m
82s126.3m
82s126.4a
pacman.6e
pacman.6f
pacman.6h
pacman.6j
u5
u6
u7

If one of these is missing, then you'll get an error message.

I have the Yipton emame and I've tried games that are said to be working - but no...
I got one game only to work - Ladubug - and how fun is that;-(

same here and unless i've got the wrong roms for that version of emame, I've almost gave up even though pacman is my favorite game of all time!

thanks for trying to help bobkid, i have all the files you show for mspacman, but yet when i run the rom from emame i get a white screen saying

error: required files are missing, the game can not be run.

i checked mspacman 's rom files to the ones you posted and they 're all there!

i have the problem too...

ok got the game got the zip all good nowi run the game and it say insert coin !!! u got a coin ? lol thw question is how do u control the game ?

Thanx for trying steed but i got the rom folders, mame sees them and tries to open them but says files are missing! Mame itself works, but can't open any games.

help, don't ignore us ,HELP US. :roll:
