6120c firmware update stuck

I tried to update my 6120c from 3.83 to 4.21. The updater lost connection and at some point told me to remove the battery and reinsert. After doing that and turning the phone on, the updater is stuck at Step 3/3 "Updating the software", now for about an hour and a half. It also looks like it's causing Windows Explorer to not respond, which makes working on the PC harder.

Question is what to do now.

Actually, it looks like the phone is okay, and it even reports 4.21. However, the updater is still stuck (even after disconnecting the phone). I killed it via the task manager.

What I'm not sure is whether this means that the update succeeded, or if there may be something missing from it, i.e., a first part worked and a second one didn't.

Seems to work fine. Update was definitely useful. One of my serious gripes about the 6120c, the inability to switch languages (Hebrew/English) easily, is now fixed. Not only is the menu available in the phone book and elsewhere, but URL entry now defaults to English even when normal entry is in Hebrew.

Hopefully it also fixes my other serious problem, of the phone becoming silent (conversation can't be heard). If so, then this will definitely make it like the 6120c a lot more.
