Pairing / Sync-ing N95 contacts with Audi Bluetooth/BMW bluetooth etc

Right,

Ive been on the look out for how to pair my contacts with my new motor and found it wasnt a supported phone with Audi bluetooth (or other bluetooth car manufacturers systems) yet I knew there must be some way of working it out.

So a search revealed the Nokia 810 Contact Download Application for Nokia S60 3rd edition devices application was the way forward.

Now I downloaded this and it didnt work for me straight away, and being impatient I thought it wasnt going to... but I found out a tried and tested method for me and a few fellow audi owners that has it working. Its as follows:

Id wait until your going to go off for a drive by the way before doing this as it seems to invlove 'waiting'.

You need to click the link and install it. The link will direct you to the sis file itself on the nokia site.

Then,

Delete any pairing of your car kit that you have.
Turn off BT
restart phone.

Go to Menu>Applications on N95 and select the new download icon (pixelated car/pc pic) and launch that.
You should get a prompt saying bluetooth is off, and let it turn it on.
Turn audi to ignition.
Download program should after a few seconds prompt for passcode
Once thats done, your phone is pair with the car. You may want to go into BT and set it to an authorised pair.
Go drive.

I sat in my car trying it for ages ... without driving.... and it didnt work.. probably because I didnt wait long enough or it didnt happen quick enough. I then drove to work with it started and in the 10 mins it took to get there, it had done it. Now the menu button displays the phone book.

Once the phone had paired, the download program should go to transferring...
I understand that this method should work on the N95 for any/most GSM phone prep modules on the later edition (especially the Q edition BT module in VAG cars) cars.
