N95-2 Music Problem

9 replies · 2,243 views · Started 21 March 2008

I have roughly 1500 songs on my N95, in the Digital Sounds folder, yet only 600-700 ever show up in the music player... I can see them and play them with file manager, yet they never appear in Artists/Albums etc

Any ideas?

Go to the music player and the section where it shows Music, Podcasts etc select options and refresh. That might work.

Thanks
8Ball

refresh tends to find 600 odd... currently 639... but if i try again, it just hangs on having added 0 :S

have tried and retried again :S

have you got the latest v15 firmware?

i have as of today, after changing the code (was set with the o2 firmware)... hasn't changed at all... albeit i can't see any differences between v11 and v15 as it is...

strage as i thought these problems was fixed on v15, did you do a full format after the fw update? if not try it now and see if it helps

that's what i expected reading the changelog!

by full format, i presume you mean on the 8gb mass media... i think i have... i've done it a couple of times now, it's all kind of blurring to be honest... i may try it again.

No i ment a phone memory format not the 8gb drive, in standby enter *#7370# then 12345 unless u changed security code, this deletes contacts etc

Hi Chrisa86, to reset the music lists please try the following:

1) Connect the phone in "Data transfer" mode to your PC.
2) Delete the two files in "E:\private\101FFC31" (called "mpxv1.mpd" and "pcv5.mpd"😉.
3) Delete the one file in "E:\private\101ffca9" (called "harvesterdb.dat"😉.
4) Disconnect the phone from the PC and run the Music Player on the phone.
5) Wait a while for the app to startup. It will be rebuilding the library......
6) Just to be sure, select "Refresh".
