The only thing in C:\sounds\digital is that Moby track.
No Ringtones After Flashing to V21
update: they're all in z:\system\sounds.
So how do I make them available as ringtones?
If you can see the Z drive, you could always copy them from there into the appropriate folder.
Sorry, I'm not being clear. I'm in a bit of a tizzy trying to rebuild everything as I didn't just do a restore as I said I would.
In tools - general - personalisation - tones, if I go to change a tone, the only options it gives me are 'download sounds' and 'off'.
OK just copy them from z:\system\sounds and paste them into c:\sounds\ . You can do it by installing Y-Browser.
Thanks. (Previous posts actually crossed in the ether). What I have to do is play them from Y-browser then in the music player choose options - use as ringtone. Bloody annoying, but at least I'm not the sort of person who changes his ringtones every few days. And I won't be able to use that workaround for other alerts.
Have you got loads of songs on your memory card?
I have the same problem, I think it happens when you pass a certain number of songs.
I took my memory card out and all the ringtones I had previously put on the c drive appeared in my settings menu.
Strange, but I can live with it.

Yes. That's interesting. Maybe the routine that's supposed to list all possible tones sees how many there are and thinks, "sod that for a game of soldiers".
In my case, all the correct tones on the Z: drive suddenly mysteriously re-appeared after a few restarts.
Poor show.
